Why centering matters for BGS grading
Beckett grades on four subgrades — centering, corners, edges, and surface — and shows each one on the label alongside the overall grade. That means a weak centering subgrade is visible to every buyer, not just averaged away. Beckett's Black Label designation requires an exceptionally strong subgrade in every category, including centering, which is what makes it so rare.
